Woody Craig
Head Instructor
Woody is a world-class competitive fencer currently ranked 2nd in the World and 1st in Australia for Rapier. He has made a name for himself as a world class teacher of 17th Century Italian Rapier fencing. Alongside Habibi, Woody regularly teaches workshops and classes across Australia and abroad, having taught in the US, China, England, & New Zealand (amongst others!). From Woody you can expect to learn the fundamental rules of fencing and how to build competency from these fundamentals
Habibi Favilla
Head Instructor
Habibi Favilla is a well accomplished fencer and coach, fencing and teaching Historical Fencing for over 10 years. He is a world leader in developing the understanding and practice of historical fencing manuals written by authors such as Capoferro, Ghislieri & Fabris. Habibi has taught with Woody Australia-wide & internationally, bringing his unique and engaging teaching style informed from a life spent playing Violin.
Heather Barry
Operations Manager
Heather is the Operations Manager of Melbourne Historical Fencing.
She ensures that all activities run smoothly and works to create new and engaging events for our club members.
